Dubious

He wanted his picture on my blog... so guess what? This blog is dedicated to the one and only Dustin Curry, who just completed his final Stages performance as a Wickersham monkey in Seussical. Congrats!

^^You bet. This was in 2007, by the way. ;)

^^As was this.

Be the antelope.

Yes, it has been awhile. I've been... well, not near a computer for long enough periods of time to type anything interesting. It's been a long but wonderful week. I can't write much right this minute, but I have not forgotten this blog! ;) Just informing you all that I changed the template and added a song to it as well. It's an incredible song, but I won't be offended if you press "pause" as soon as you get on here. I don't get offended easily and I won't know if you did anyway.
Good night all!

Music is what feelings sound like.

(What happens when we sit down)

I'm exhausted and stressed, but I'm in a great mood. That's what good music does to you. I don't really have time for a blog even though I REALLY need to write! I have so much to tell about efy and life in general. I'm so ridiculously busy, I don't know how people find the time to write. For now, I'll list some music that is making me soo happy right now! And maybe some of the songs are odd, but they're putting me in a good mood. I thank Kelsey for that. :)

Must've Done Something Right-Reliant K
Indiscriminate Act of Kindness- Foy Vance

Life in the Valley

I realize that not many people read this blog. But I'm okay with that. I need to be able to type things out and let some of my feelings out. Granted, what I write here is watered down at times depending on content. I don't feel that there is any reason to show the world all that you feel, unless you really want everyone to hear what you're saying. I can be impulsive, so I try really hard to not write anything that could be offensive. Okay,I'm getting carried away.
I am currently in Lehi,Utah. I spent all day in Salt Lake City and came here to spend the night with some family members, my mom's cousin Michelle Saluone. I got to hang out with some cousins that I haven't seen in a couple years and just relax with LDS family members. It is so refreshing to be here. I can't even explain how in awe I am when I walk into a Dress Barn and hear a daughter telling her mother she can't buy a shirt because it's sleeveless. Or going into another store and overhear women discussing their stake. What really makes me laugh is walking into Wal-Mart and seeing DVD and book shelves dedicated to LDS titles. I know that this may be the "norm" for many people, but for me it's just incredible. It's great to be out here and just be reminded that there are more people out there that share my values. I have many good friends in Arkansas that share my values and are members, but they live so far away from me. I am the oldest young woman in my ward. So, needless to say, I am much looking forward to going to YSA activities and going to college. I need to start going to these things. I still have one efy and possibly two Youth Conferences left in me. So, I've still got a few things to do in the youth program. I still feel that I have something to contribute to the program in our stake. I was just a YCL in Girls' Camp last week and had a blast. I ended up having to go to the hospital twice during the week but that's another story. ;)
Well, this post had gone off and been quite random. I have to admit that I have a hard time staying focused when I write. I try to look at that fact optomistically however. If my unedited thoughts were focused, wouldn't that be a false representation of what's on my mind? If anyone has an always focused mind, I'd like to meet them.
The only truly sad thing about today is that it is Father's Day and I was not able to spend it with my dad. Our session of efy happened to fall on the week of Father's Day. I talked to him on the phone while walking Temple Square, but I still feel bad about not being there. Having my dad be the Bishop of our ward makes it difficult to spend time with him on a daily basis, let alone on special holidays. So, dad, even though you probably won't read this, this is for you.

Reasons why my dad is the only one I'd choose as a "daddy":
-He is worthy to give me a Father's Blessing
-He chose my mom as an Eternal Companion
-He loves me and my siblings and lets us know
-He takes the time to talk to me even when I know he could be spending the time doing something else.
-He is so charitable. He gives to everyone and takes seldom time for himself.
-He is the BEST Bishop I've ever known.
-I love him.
-He has a good sense of humor.
-I can really relate to him.
-He treats me as an equal.
-He is willing to do anything and everything for me.

There is so much more that I could mention, but I would spend all night here typing it out. I love you Dad and I've decided that I'll just send what I've posted to you anyhow. ;)

Wish me luck at efy this week. I'll write more of today's adventures and the ones to come when I get home!

A Few Words Before I Fall Asleep...

I just wanted to take a moment to write about a few things. I just went to a graduation for a friend of mine and once again, it has hit me how quickly time passes. This time next year, I will be graduating. It seems weird that it will even be that long though, because I've been taking college classes for a semester now. Before my Senior year officially begins however, I still have a lot going on this summer.
I'm exciting about taking one last wack at going to efy, that'll be a blast. My sister finally gets to go with me and I'm excited to see her experience one of the best weeks you'll ever have in your life. Youth Conference is going to be several stakes, so I'm excited about that too. I'm also going to Girl's Camp one last time this year. I'm in two shows at the UofO this summer, as well as heading out to Disney World for a week... it's going to be funfilled, I will be spiritually fed and laugh a lot. I'm so excited.

Temporarily Obsessed

So today I have added another obssesion along with Rent. :) Well actually I've loved Josh Groban for quite some time now, but today it;s really hit me that I desperately want to see him on stage...in person. Someday he will tour again and I will purchase the ticket to wherever is closest to me at the time. *sigh* It's just become a goal now. I will see him eventually!
Anywho, since my recent obsession with Rent started yesterday evening, I wore "rent style" clothing today. Heehee it was fun, but I was really missing the finishing touch of something like Mark's scarf. When I walked into Company One today, I saw that Weston had his Rent shirt on, which made me feel happy and frustrated. Happy, because I wasn't the only one thinking of the show and frustrated, because I really want a Rent shirt. The Company One kids are singing Seasons of Love in their showcase so I got to hear that today as well!
I need to get on here when it's not so late, so I can write more coherently. Maybe tomorrow.

A (short) list of long term "worldly" goals:

-To own an official Rent t-shirt
-To have a cd player in my car
-To see Josh Groban in concert
-To steal Mark's scarf.

Hope you all have a fabulous day!

-Jess
